Aritech Cs350 Cabinet Tamper

Featured Replies

I have an Aritech CS350, it has been in the house since I moved in over 2 years ago and all worked fine. Last week in the middle of the night the alarm starting sounding. I jumped out of bed and turned it off, the log said tamper and then cabinet tamper. I know that I have not had any work done in the house and that the cabinet had not been touched. The following night the same thing happened. I removed the cover and expected the alarm to sound and it didnt, there must be some sort of a fault in it. Any ideas, can I disable the cabinet tamper switch and would it be wise ? It is now sounding about twice a day.

A cabinet tamper on the CS350 could be either:

The cabinet is not closed properly

There is a fault on the aux tamper circuit which means a loose cover on a sensor, faulty sensor, damaged cable etc

It could possibly be the External bell tamper if wired in.

The panel lid tamper spring, the aux tamper (which might be used for am internal bell lid tamper) and the external beel tamprer are all cunnected together in 1 circuit LID TAMPER.

It is not likely to be the panel lid tamper it is probably the outside bell lid tamper.

Hope this helps

You might want to check for dry joints, Used to service Aritech panels and they were famous for it, also link out bell tamper return and see if it goes away, if it does then replace the bell box
