had anyone ever had prolem when you come to burn to CD using an external plextor burner?....it saying 'please insert blanks cd then click on retry',my customer said they had no problem burning in the past approx 10mths ago

i have checked it a brand new cd and tried 3 different brands.

One tip I can suggest. Check the pins on the Scuzzy cable. Strange things can happen if a pin becomes bent for some reason.

I have a 2 speed Yamaha drive that seemed problematic. The Sprite listed the drive on the boot-up screen but told me there was no drive connected when I wanted to burn images. The cause, one single pin had bent very slightly on the lead and where it connected to the Yamaha, the pin had pushed away the plastic on the connector between 2 of the connectors holes, thus shorting to the next connector hole.

A crude attatchment but I think helps explain what I'm on about.
