February 5, 200818 yr comment_189838 i was doing a routine maintenance service today on a 2002 veritas R8+ and the house owner said the alarm went off about 2 weeks ago internal sounders only when it wasnt set, so i automaticly thought of tamper fault. so i checked the log and it showed tamper as the last activation. ok BUT... when i hit omit for the extended log it flashed on 6. going by the prog book 6 is N/A 1 bell tamper (inc global system tamper) 2 N/A 3 lid tamper (inc rkp) 4 line monitor 5 rkp off line 6 N/A 7 N/A 8 eol tamper i couldn't find any obvious tamper fault and all the readings were tip-top. has anybody come across this before ? is there something texecom forgot to put in the install manual ? February 5, 200818 yr Author comment_189846 thanks. the manuals must change down trough the years. as the manual i flicked over today was from a 2007 panel, still the old lady said the system went "koo koo" lol about 10 minuits after it was unset, she lives of her own & no kids to fiddle with the rkp. must have been a sticky button to cause a code pin tamper ? me thinks.
