Hi. I just moved into a new flat with a scantronic 9427 system pre-installed. however, i have no manual, no installation docs, nothing. And worst of all, i don't have the pin code.

I have tried to look for the manual online, however, the closest one i can find is the 9448. However, when it comes down to resetting to factory default it seems to look completely different (to my amature eyes). a friend recommended for me to come on this website for some help.

Any tips?

The 9427 was a remote keypad for the 9448 panel, so you do actually have the right manual. There will be another part to the alarm, perhaps a white plastic or metal box in a cupboard somewhere. Thats the main panel. Be careful if you go prodding around in there, there are mains voltages.

we can not issue engineers manuals or defaulting information due to the sites rules.

if you do manage to default the system you will need to reprogram it, so ask yourself are you capable? whie performing the defaulting you could end up with the exxternal siren sounding, no code to stop it what will you do.

good motto with security, think first - act last, so call an engineer.
