whibbs Posted December 13, 2007 Share Posted December 13, 2007 hi i am trying to set up a zone on the primer 24 connecting to a keypad the zone will be on the keypad and will set as a normally open zone a floor mat . i have linked out the tamper and connected to zone terminals when i try to set the system the zone shows as active i am programing using wintex have set zone up as double pole where am i going wrong do i need to link one temper terminal to one zone terminal then connect to the zone terminal and the temper terminal ? antinode Posted December 13, 2007 Share Posted December 13, 2007 Pressure mats? The manual gives examples of connecting NO devices. Can't you invert the zone like on a Menvier panel. Given that they are practically the same panel anyway, I would be surprised if Texecom have'nt included this. breff Posted December 13, 2007 Share Posted December 13, 2007 Doh! just remembered its a keypad zone, loop out the tamper pair, loop out the alarm pair, wire the mat between one of the tamper terminals and one of the alarm terminals. You may have to deselect 'zone shorted=tamper' in configuration options.BTW, you could try inverting the zone in zone attributes 2. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!
