scan9851
Hi, I have followed instructions - as mentioned on page 43 of install guide - but then the panel doesn't respond to default engineer code - I have previously told it to use 6 digit codes via a pc connection - does it now require a 6 digit default engineer code - if so what is it likely to be. Thanks Anthony Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/21340-scantronic-9851-reset-installer-code-problem/ Share on other sites
amateurandy
default engineer code - if so what is it likely to be. Hello Anthony. Please refer again to the Forum Rules (you have read them haven't you?) specifically section 10.4; no-one is allowed to post that information. Please refer again to the Forum Rules (you have read them haven't you?) specifically section 10.4; no-one is allowed to post that information. sorry about asking for that but a clue would be nice - I know what the default engineer code is - its printed in the install guide - what I need to know is why its not working - is there a fault with my panel - or do I need to add xx to front or rear of engineer code as it doesn't seam to like 4 digit codes now Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/21340-scantronic-9851-reset-installer-code-problem/#findComment-184118 Share on other sites
Guest anguscanplay
More likely you ONLY think you`ve defaulted it - what did you default it back too ( could you choose any options?) You don't get a choice it should go back to the code printed in install guide - but that doesn't work - it looks like it would like 6 digits but the default is only 4 - I have tried the code I used to place it in installer mode before switching off (disconneting battery + mains) that is 6 digits Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/21340-scantronic-9851-reset-installer-code-problem/#findComment-184126 Share on other sites
