Hi Mike,

Not sure who you mean by "the engineer" as he may not be here; your best bet is to call out a local alarm firm to sort your alarm out. Look in Yellow Pages or equivalent or online, or ask a friend for a recommendation.

You should find a user manual on the ADE web site (now part of Honeywell) - www.ade.co.uk

(Edit - can't immediately see an XL6 manual there, but there is the XL4 which may or may not be similar)
