I hear what you say, It is my experience of a national alarm company which would come up early in the alphabetic listings which has made me reluctant.

Trust me it really isn`t a club and non of us got regulated for fun but your first point of reference really should be your insurance company - good luck

Sorry dont mean to be condescending. I have in my time been in a few different trade associations which only ever seemed to take money out of my pocket with little benefit.

As for insurance company it will be a specialist company insuring this when it is done, which one I dont know. Currently it is insured on a site insurance policy which on

Chubb insurance come up a lot with our customers we/ they specialise in high net worth, high rebuild cost etc and iirc you dont need too many actual figures - worth a quote from them ?

Can try them, I presume a proportion of those you are looking at are historic/listed properties?

LOL several, had one myself and selling it was the best thing I ever did - much respect for what you`ve achieved so far with yours

Well it has been a bit of a lifes work, 14 years so far, only 3.5 on site but the rest in planning etc. So have got to get to the end and live in the place for at least a while.

LOL mine always wants to sell them when the`re finished, 4 houses in 6 years and she moans about the packing everytime
