Is it O.K. to install standard PIR detectors in a property having an 'open plan' design?

I'm concerned about 'draught' causing an alarm.

most decent moderm pir's will work fine, but if you have severe enough air turbulance issue's to concern you, then fit either quad detectors or a bit more expensive but better, fit dual technology detectors
