Need Help Wiring Speech Dialler

Featured Replies

Hi all

Successfully firtting my alarm panel and today I came to fit the dialler. I have a veritas R8 panel and purchased a Texecom dialler.

Looking through the manual, I see that the R8 has a negative trigger for input 3 on the dialler. So I ran a 6-core cable from panel to dialler.

Panel__________ Dialler

aux+ ________ 12v

Aux - _______ 0V

B _________ Trigger 3

Tamp ____________ Tamp

I have used the dialler test operation and it tries to call person. However when the alarm goes off, nothing happens and the dialler displays "Ready".

Am I missing something, it seems the dialler is not being triggered

Many Thanks

just a couple of observations

why have you used trigger 3?

have you set trigger 3 up to dial out. ie is there a trigger 1 or 2? if so try using trigger 1

used trigger 3 as i saw something in the manual.

I have tried trigger 1 and the same.

I will in the morning, connect back to trigger 1.

should it be negative applied or positive applied?

i think negative applied

ok

will check miscellaneous settings to make sure triggers outouts are correct
