Texecom Gsm Module?

Featured Replies

I've just fitted a Premier 48 to my house, quite impressed, i spend 3 weeks doing it nice any slowly so it looked professional etc, anyway i am using a speech/text dialler, but when i was testing i though it was pretty naff that it took over the phone line. I work nights sometimes and thus my g/f is home alone, if she tried dialing anyone on the home phone while its trying to ring me she wouldn't be able to.

Soo..... how do a add a gsm dialler to it (and remove the naff one obviously), so its got its own sim card in it (and phone line basically). I presume using this option also allows me to arm/disarm via text message? check if its been armed etc (i'm forgetful sometims)

The texecom one looks nice but its pricey and also will i need a com module for the board? Are there any alternatives?

Finally, will it text me exactly whats wrong, i.e which zone etc, the speech dialler now only has 4 triggers, i've got mains failure, panic alarm, full alarm, tamper setup on them, but i'd likle to have them all if possible,

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Oh and i used the pc com and wintex software to setup the system, its sooooo simple and easy to alter in the future, i highly recommend it for anyone installing one of these!
