April 18, 200422 yr comment_11123 How do we know that you are a genuine person? You could be trying to skate around a system. Sorry bri, unless you can verify that you are a bonafide tradesman we won't be able to help you. April 23, 200422 yr comment_11462 hello again, It is my own alarm system. I have the code and the manual, just can't work out how to shut the thing up when I remove the fuse! The reason I want to power it down is I want to re-route some of the cables including the supply cable. thanks again Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/2003-alarm/#findComment-11462 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 April 23, 200422 yr comment_11464 When are you finding that the alarm sounds? Is it as soon as you disconnect the mains? If so, you have a battery fault, and will need to contact an engineer to replace the battery and test the charging circuit. If the alarm only sounds when you open the panel - (that is what it is supposed to do) then the only way to prevent it sounding is to use the Installation company code (which they should not give you). If you open the cover without the Installation Company code, the sounder will start, but you can stop the sounder by entering your code on the keypad.
