i found this site,

i require a conventional 2 wire fire alarm panel

im looking for 4 zones plus, the more the merryier but at max about 20 zones

i am looking for this to create a university project.

THIS WILL NOT BE USED ON LIVE PREMISES

does neone have a working old second hand system, they could donate or sell to a university student (it must have the operational keys for it (key controlled access to control buttons))

i don't use fire equipment mate but if nobody can help i would suggest ebay as a starting point.

iv bought 3

and they are all **** and broken

terofire sapphire 8-12+ - lots of faults which dont clear

ctec - missing key switch + lots of faults

menvier 4 zone - working but awful hot smell coming from it + it has a blown chip in it (burnt hole through chip)

im happy with an old removed panel as long as it works (upgrades maybe)

Have you fitted the end of line devices across the zone and sounder circuits? If not, you will get a fault indication...

all eol fitted,

its noticed 2 of the chips are getting very very very very very hot

so there must be a major prob with em
