Yeah had a few early pyronix prox readers that used to beep when they fancied it as were picking something up, not going to cause any issues if it is that apart from being a annoyance.

Thanks - that's the reader. From this info I've also managed to download an Installation Manual which may come in useful. It sounds as though this could explain the beep. Not an annoyance - just wanted to know why really, and to confirm it's not a warning etc. Thanks for the help.
