April 19, 200719 yr comment_163352 So I stupidly cut through my alarm wire thinking it was an old phone cable and set the burglar alarm off. An electrician just joined the wires back together for me but the tamper light on the control panel is staying lit and he didn't know how to solve the problem. Therefore I can't set the alarm - it just beeps for eternity. It's a rented house and I don't have the instruction manual for the alarm. The letting agents claim that the burglar alarm is our responsibility. Any ideas? Thanks, Catriona Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/18733-veritas-tamper-problem/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 April 19, 200719 yr comment_163353 Hi , First press RESET.If the red tamper light is still on..... You have a tamper fault , this can be omitted temporarily. Enter you CODE , press FULL , OMIT , 9 , PROG , the system will set with the tamper fault omitted. But..you really should get an alarm engineer to check the "repair" and maybe give the system the once over. Regards.
