March 15, 200422 yr comment_9326 Quiescent currant found by selecting Amps range on meter. Putting meter in series with battery (ie take one lead off terminal and put meter leads between removed lead and battery terminal) Then remove mains fuse. Take reading Reinstate mains fuse and battery. Please be carefull you are dealing with electricity. IT KILLS. Also be wary, if amps range on meter to low it can blow fuse in meter, (can be dear), and panel will loose power. True Quiescents requires all detectors in non alarm state and all currant drawing devices in alarm to be in off condition, obviously this is not very often feasable so accept reading realising some detectors will be in alarm which is minimal extra currant.
