Optima 2 Plus - constant beeping

Featured Replies

Hi ALL :)

I Really need help with an Optima 2 Plus please.

Problem is, everytime there is a powercut (had a few recently) the internal Siren beeps "Continously" once every 10 seconds or so until power is restored :(

Is there anyway I can either disable the "powerloss" beep, or deactivate the internal siren completly from the control panel?

Why would you want to disconect the sounder. It beeps to tell you that the power is unavailable. Almost every system I have seen either beeps or flashes if there is a power failure. This is normal.

If you are having power loss often contact your power distribution company and ask for compensation or threaten them with legal action, this generally stimulates them to find the problem and fix it.

CUS,

This is an engineer programmable function , if you have the engineer code , it can be turned off.Its an old panel , if it is due a service (every 3 - 4 years), ask the friendly engineer to turn it off for you. :D

Thanks guys...

Dale..I'd like to turn it off as the beepin keeps me awake (usally early morning powercuts) - No lights & TV not working tells me powers off ;)

Anyone got a ruff gestimate at goin rate for engineer to nip round & turn it off?

Thanks again for replys chaps :D

P.S. Concerning engineer code....Will only the Original Installers know this?
