Guest simonrob
Thanks Mark. It would seem that it would just as cost-effective for the Customer to have the panel replaced. Guest bladedawg
Hi, im new to this forum, I am from the humble AUS and I have keen interest in what alarms you guys have acces to there.. whats this seventh wire business, etc It sounds more complex to our gear here- Id rec to that guy to upgrade the panel, make it a good price for the guy and keep the old one if its relatively new- this way each sensor is on its own zone, to make it easier for identifying FAULTY detectors, but also to identify the exact point of entry for the customer / police / patrol to respond to... saves some hassles later\ thats my opinion and im stickin to it...... Guest lev
The Viper shock sensors comes in 2 models The GL which has 7 terminals and the GLX which has 8 terminals. Two terminals are for a non latching alarm ouput Two for tamper Two for 13V and 0V one for a reset facility for the LEDs one for a first to alarm function (GLX only) You can place upto 10 devices on one zone providing the alarm terminals are wired in series. If using only 6 core wiring you will have to forgo the LED indication and hold it permanently off by placing a link between the 13V and the set terminals. If you have sufficient wiring the set terminal can be wired back to the Optima compact SET + output. This will then control the LED displays when the system is set and unset. Hope this helps Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/1591-viper-shock-sensors/page/2/#findComment-9388 Share on other sites
ian.cant
I just thought you guys should know, since my previous post about the bad things i had heard about texecom impaq's. The next day they rang me (Mark it was maybe, I forget now) asking what i had heard and which supplier it was from. I could only say what i had heard was what i posted here, but i didnt name the supplier, i need to stay sweet with them. Anyway the point of this post is, Texecom have sent 5 free samples for me to try, and they assure me the kit is very good and nothing like what i had heard. So i would just like to say what good pro-active customer relation they have, and ive now got to find somewhere for these vibration sensors!
