magpye
Could you be mistaken?Nearly all sab sounders have a 6 volt back up battery, but the supply to them from the panel is 12 volts. .... so did you think it is 6 volts because you saw the back up battery inside it... or have you some evidence that the supply from the panel is 6 volts? The Siren Driver for this system, from the Manual, shows 6v Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care. jlyall
Thanks for your replies. I pretty sure that the whole pannel is 6v. The control panel battery is also 6v. The manual recomended, back in the day, a 'Moose MPI-37 , MPI -38 or MPI-11' siren driver for an eternal siren. I dont know if anybody knows these sirens and if they are 6v.
