Scantronics 9750 and a Elmdene 7422 sounder

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I am currently attempting to install a 9750 panel in a domestic environment.

The external element being a Elmdene "sounder 7422".

Does anyone know of any compatibility issues with this combination.

I reckon the wiring to be right but I cannot clear the "Bell tamper" message nor silence the SAB from the control panel. Also, the red led does not illuminate indicating power supplied as the instructions suggest it should.

Any ideas?

Any guidance or tips greatly appreciated.

I also hope to include a Vocaliser within the 9750 once the basic setup is established. The Vocaliser looks like it can be configured to work with the 9750.

Is this a corrrect or miss-guided assumption?

Thanks guys

One problem with the panel is poor power output from the transistorised outputs on this panel. Problems are overcome by fitting a 470 microfarad capacitor across pos & neg at the bell.

I went up into the attic...I found a Stradavarius & a Picasso. Unfortunately.....

Stradavarius couldn't paint, and Picasso made a shocking fiddle.

Your assistance and comments are much appreciated.
