February 12, 200422 yr comment_7310 What are the best external detectors that I can use around my detached house, we do get cats and sqirrels etc in the garden, we do have wind and trees, I need the detectors to switch on lighting and sounders. February 12, 200422 yr comment_7326 GJD equipment is excellent - the PIR's are easily adjustable to most external situations. I always recommend GJD when asked for external lighting and other controllers. Pricey - but worth it. Opal or Elite detectors are what you need to look at! February 12, 200422 yr comment_7333 Dual tech external detectors are much more stable than a standard PIR. Used more for CCTV, they are more expensive. Crow do some very good external stuff - I'd also take a look at their products before you buy. February 13, 200422 yr comment_7371 i would suggest you opt for the gjd pirs and controller, forget about the sounder, if light doesn't scare any one off when it was dark a sounder won't but it WILL anoy the neighbours Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/1403-external-detectors/#findComment-7371 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
