Ive just installed a scantronic 9651 but when ever i try to come out of the engineers mode it checks the system and gives me errors for zone 1-8 and i dont know why. Ive done walk tests and it picks up the 4 pir sensors and 4 dor contact sensors. I dont know what else i can do help please any information would be very helpfull

did you check the zone configuration? You need to choose between closed circuit and fully superviced depending on how you wired the system.

Its closed circuite zones, ive hcekced and its on the right circuite configuration. Ive got 4 magnetic door connectors which have two wires each. Basiclly the live go together and the earth are seperate on the board there's 3 connector pins for every two detectors so you can put the two live wires together in the centre pin and the two earths are put in their individial connections.

diffrence with pirs is you connect the live to the aux power connecter, they have 3 wires

I live in coventry if anyones close by and would like to see it thats no problem, but every bit of information would be very helpfull.

The pirs that ive used have three wires each, if thats of any help. and the extra wire they have is connected to the 12vAux power

I was under the impresion if i used resistors that would be a fully supervise and if i didnt the it would be a closed circuite connection.

Am I correct then in thinking that you have wired the detectors as you would have for supervised, but just not fitted the resistors..? If so you cannot do that..

Ive replaced an old box hence i didnt change the pir connectiors or sencors

As stated earlier, if these are closed circuit then powered detectors should have 6 wires, 2X Power, 2X Zone & 2x Tamper. Non-powered such as contacts will require 4 cores.

Closed Circuit:

Supervised Circuit:

Neither the above show AUX power connections, as although they may be required they are not a part of the circuit.

Supervised would require 2 wires for each zone, and 2 for AUX power if the sensor required it.
