Does anyone know what panels they install. Also are they any good. I'm about to do a takeover on one that my friend has inherited on a recent house move. :hmm:

They used DSC panels (Power 832,608 or the Envoy)

Great panels but a lot of installers didn't like them (or couldn't understand them  )

The only problem you will have is BG had their own default engineer code in the panel

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

cheers for the quick reply. I will get myself some manuals and have a good look through. Although if I default I would be stuck, wouldn't I, as I will be left with a panel with no engineer code at all?

If the panel is defaulted it will go back to BG owns code.

If the phone line is still in the panel, then it can be defaulted and reprogramed using U/D ;)

If you speak to tony at dsc he can dial in and some times default engineers code

You can also get BG to return the panel back to standard DSC defaults, so you can take the system over (there will be a small charge for this :ninja: )

only thing is if you ask tony nicely he will do it F.O.C :)
