Hi replaced the fuse as suggested, and as expected it set, and worked ok, but as soon as the alarm was activated they blew again???

Got my Sparkie mate out to have a look, he changed the fuse, and exactly the same thing happened.

He mentioned something aobut 2 wires touching somewhere on the loop?

Sounds a bit serious!!

Any ideas what to do next?

Using the user guide , test the strobe and sounders individually, followed by a walk test of all devices , this should highlight where the fault is.

Is that the box at the front door or the main box upstairs?

Just thinking though it might be when the front door is opened, as its fine when I tested it, just stanidng in the living room, then moving once it was set. Only on part set though.

But when I got back from the pub last night and opened the door it wouldn't then set before going to bed. I had it on full set this time.

In my experience the Veritas is a bit prone to the keypad randomly locking up. I've known it happen a few times now. Removing the power from the battery and mains cured a couple.... But the last one I had to dump!
