Veritas Programming Query

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have what I think is a Veritas 8 with remote panel and need to change the "Part Set" zones due to having just got a dog. The company who installed it were bought out by //.National Installer.// 5 years ago and want to charge me £120 call out fee to do the job. So, i checked out this site and found a download of the engineering manual, tried to enter the factory engineer code, but it would appear that it has been locked. The manual suggests referring to the installer as they've locked it.

So...is there anyway I can get around this ?

Also...would any other installer be able to get around this or am i stuck with //.National Installer.//?

Any advice appreciated.

cheers

Mike

You can send the panel back to texecom and have it unlocked or it would be just as quick to update it with a new circuit board and less hastle. Not to mention it will be probably not much more than the cost of having it defaulted.

There are also alot of //.National Installer.// guys on the forum, you might be lucky if you post what area you are in, one of them might be able to help you.

Its also unlikely that the factory code would work without the panel being defaulted, as you have the manual, follow the instructions and default the panel and then try the factory codes.

Colin.

just default the panel yourself, all you need to do is <DO NOT GIVE DETAILS ON HOW TO DEFAULT PANELS>
