Securit 700l Problem

Featured Replies

I have a fault on my Securit 700L

The '1' led stay on when I try to set the alarm, and the alarm will not set.

I suspect that it is the sensor, but I don't know which sensor number 1 is ?

so I have a number of questions

1. Can I set the alarm without setting the 1 area, I have tried to do this using the 'manual isolation settings', but it does not let me isolate this area. Is there any way I can disabale the sensor, I can do without it for now as long as I can set the alarm.

2. How can I find out which sensor is faulty - I have tried the walk test, but it just lights up led 1 all the time.

3. Is it liklely that I need to clean the sensor out i.e. dust or does it need a new one, can I fix a new one.

I am competent in IT, electronics electical, I just need someone to advise me what to do.

Thanks for the great site

Hi ,

Its most probably your front door contact.

IIRC zone 1 is fixed exit / entry , and non ommitable.

Regards.

aaaah yes I had forgotton about that.

Is it likely to be faulty - can I do anything to diagnose whats wrong, or should I just replace it

thanks for your quick reply -

Make sure both parts are still there...(magnet and reed switch). If confident , remove the switch and check that the wires are still attached under the 2 silver screws.
