I have an Optima Alarm panel with no other reference that is approximately 12 years old, power was recently lost to it and it has reverted to the customer code and i have been unable to program new code. Have tried using customer programming for Optima xl, Press PROG. Enter code. Press 8. Enter new code. Press RESET. Still no succes can anybody Help. TA

I take it the panel is the membrane keypad type ? if so :

Power it down completely , mains + battery , (outside bell should sound )reconnect mains first , enter 0123 , fit new battery, change code PROG , 0123 , 8 ,new CODE, RESET, RESET.

If the panel has rubber keys , then it will require defaulting .

Be careful around mains electricity , if in doubt , call a local engineer in.
