please help i have just moved house and on testing the alarm with the code i was given by the previous owner i cant turn it off and now have had to disconnect it

I would suggest you contact the installer who installed the alarm and arrange for them to visit and reprogram the alarm. The details may be on the panel or the box outside.

Alternatively get a local engineer to do it, without the code you will not be able to do anything yourself.

If it was programmed for single button setting, you would have been able to set the alarm without the correct code. That is possibly what happened.
