I am brand new to this place, and as such this is my first post...

We have a DIY installed Veritas 8 compact with a remote keypad and sounder on the outside. The alarm works perfectly until we have a power cut.... The panel dies and the alarm box wails for about half an hour. The battery inside the panel is brand new, and we've tested that there is power in there.

Does anyone have any advice? Wiring diagrams etc etc etc. This is a nightmare as we want to move house and we want to be able to say that the alarm works fine.

Yep, there's a difference between 'not going off for no reason every 10 minutes' and 'working fine'.

The only way to say it works properly is get it serviced.
