May 7, 200620 yr comment_98095 Hi, I'm marching ahead with the panel setup now - have wintex up & running! don't know why I tried without it. One of the few things I'm still having difficulty getting my head round is how to set up arming of areas for full & night arming. I've got 3 main areas: A) downstairs - arms on opening & closing front door B ) upstairs - arms instantly C) Garage - arms on 5 min exit timer (can't think of a neater way to do it) This works fine for a full arm, but for a night-time arm I think it causes 2 issues: 1) area A) won't arm, as the front door hasn't opened and closed 2) area C) will cause the 'arming' sound to go on for 5 mins Clever ideas anyone? Thanks, James Edited May 7, 200620 yr by JimmyH Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/10481-premier-88-area-arming-options/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 If you don't know......ask. May 9, 200620 yr comment_98439 Put areas A and C in an area arming suite and set the exit mode as required. thanks - that works nicely - I've set them up, and I press 'part' on the rkp, select the area suite I want & press yes. Now I'm just trying to understand a bit more about arming suites - according to the manual, they are supposed to apply to the specific key pads - area arm suite 1 for rkp 1, area 2 for rkp 2 etc. I was hoping that that meant I could just press 'area' once I'd set them up & it would arm the area arm suite for that rkp, but it continues to arm the areas assigned to the rkp individually. Does this have anything to do with the keypad sounder option K - 'Use Keypad areas' described in the manual? This seems to set EXACTLY what I want... but it's not there on my panel!! Does anyone else have the option there? I'm running software version 4.0 Thanks, James Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/10481-premier-88-area-arming-options/#findComment-98439 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
