April 28, 200620 yr comment_97064 OK, we have a Powerdome here. Very nice looking piece of kit! We need to get in to the menu of the camera but we don't have a Vista keyboard. Since an RS422 controller just puts signals on a bus, we can copy that using a computer. Does anyone know what command is sent to the bus to enter menu mode please? It'll be in this kind of format: ^6$$& Thanks! April 29, 200620 yr comment_97189 Your best bet is to try and find the RS-485 communications protocol, some brands have theirs to download, some have theirs available under an NDA, in most camera protocols, there are standard commands that tell the start of transmission, the length of the command, the command data, the checksum for the command, and an end of transmission. Unless your camera runs on the Pelco or another brand's protocol.... ?
