Accenta 8 - How Do I Program It For Silent Set At Night?

Featured Replies

Hi all, new boy here!

I've moved into a house with an Accenta 8 alarm, nice system but the manual I have printed off the web seems to be beyond me.

I want to set a program to silently set the system as the beeper is so loud it wakes my young son up...NIGHTMARE!!

Hence I need to know how to set the system last thing at night so all but the upstairs (Zone 5) is armed with a silent set. I know the engineer code but just cannot get it to work.

Any and all help would be appreciated, for the sake of both my boy but also his Daddies sleep requirements.

cheers

Hi ,

Have you tried turning the volume pot down (in the middle of the main pcb)?

To set up a program..

You need to go to the page PROGRAMS and ZONES set up , and set up PROG 2 (PROG 1 is your main full house set).

choose which zones are to be used ( not 5 ) .

choose your timed zones...maybe 2 eg.if this is the hall

same for time inhibit..

you cant have silent set , but you can have immeadiate set , depends on layout.

Have fun.

:)

I thought on these panels, you turn it on for part set and then press the set button to get an instant set?? :hmm:

The set button reduces the exit time to 5-10 secs(depending on age/model).

in engineering, prog.. 2.. then 6(exit mode) option 4 (silent set on newer versions) reset, reset :)
