Yes- training with texecom atm I like the wintex software for programming. Shame honeywell charge so much for their programming software as found their stuff to be pretty good.

We use texecom premier elite - but also look after sites that have All sorts of makes/models of intruder alarms Also into access control - networked stuff (Paxton, salto, interflex) and auto doors, gates, barriers, roller shutters etc it's like being an apprentice - again at the tender age of 35 ?

Which is the 'best' intruder alarm system you have installed?

I heard that it Is it a trueism that a sparks could be an alarm engineer, but an alarm engineer couldn't be a sparks... Any truth in that? Personally I believe they are 2 completely different disciplines.

Hi all, I am stepping into intruder alarms after being a sparks for nearly 20 yrs. I am part of a firm who just does intruder alarms now and feel like an apprentice again but want to learn from the ground up... F knows. I Don't do fire. I wondered about the order of the outputs for the gardtec to that stu eg. Pin 1-alarm/2 - restore etc...

Its a Gardtec panel. Fire panel is nearby tho. Do you know what the pin setup is for that unit is by any chance? Or will it be system specific?
