    Exactly this is what made me suspicious, if it was locked to ADT then their wouldn't be a second hand market on ebay?

    Hi, We have had a pm360 system with the gateway box and a seperate keypad to set the alarm with (nothing visual at all). We have had the system for nearly 3 years and I am looking at alternatives. Will it be cheaper / easier to purchase a new system entirely, or will it be better to do a full hard reset of the adt system to try and use it as a standalone visonic alarm? (once the contract has been cancelled of course. I am tech savvy, no issues with fiddling with things! Thanks, Matt
