  1. All that is displayed on the keypad when restarting after defaulting to factory reset (or subsequently) is : "Accenta G4 RPK F131-01-111" Entering the default codes (either #### or ####) does nothing. I test it every month. I also do a walk test every month. It was when I started one of those that the problem first started, being unable to get past the "Walk Test" display. I then defaulted to factory settings (using the exact procedure in the user manual) but the default codes did not work (frozen display as given above). Tried the procedure for default codes only, and the same thing happened.
  2. I can see that this is going to take some time.
  3. Thank you everyone for the various suggestions. In answer to the last, there are two keypads, for each of which there is an isolation switch, and the system has been tested with each indivdually. I shall now have to try the long way to identify the fault, disconnecting everything in turn. Actually, what I will do is use a "binary chop", in other words disconnect half the detectors, for example, and then (if the fault is not one of those) the other half.
  4. OnoN No to the first question. Yes to the second. Have not disconnteced individual components yet, but I will do so. I suppose if everything is disconnected and the the default codes still cannot be entered, that suggests a fault with the panel. Must admit that my assumption was that a panel fault would have have had a different result, such as just not working. Thanks for replying.
  5. The battery was replaced less than a year ago, Peter. Reputable make.
  6. Five years ago I installed a Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen 4. It worked fine until a few days ago when I tried to do a walk test. It didn't get past the "Walk Test" line, and didn't respond to key presses. Did an engineer's reset, and on starting up again there was again no response to key presses, so was unable to enter the code. Did a partial reset (codes), and the same happened. Has the panel had it? Interestingly, it is in the loft void, which can get hot, and this was on one of the hottest days of the year.
