Thanks for the reply. Yes it is just the remote keypad. There are 2 keypads in the system though if this makes any difference. Fortunately the new location is really just the opposite end of a hallway so the exact same pir sensors need to be passed to access the new location.

I have an old gardtec alarm, possibly a 370 as the menus seem to match what I found in a manual online. I am looking to move the control panel to a different part of the house. Is this a straightforward process? I only have the master code and not an engineer code for the alarm. I have run a new cable to the new location so am I ok to disconnect the existing control panel wire and just replace with the new one? Should I disconnect the power before doing so or will it give me less grief doing so with the power on? I know the other panels dont operate from battery power. Thanks for any help.
