  1. Thanks, I've changed the 2 PIR sensors across the alarm and tamper and it seems to be working better. I'm going to re do the door contacts tomorrow and then start the programming again. I'll update if I nee any more help. I hate intruder Alarm systems and this is one of the reasons why. :-o
  2. The jumpers on the board are set to 4k7 for the alarm and 2k2 for the tamper.
  3. I'm using the Texcom compact. 6 terminals on them. + - Al Al Tam Tam. set the resistors to 4k7 and 2k2 as in the manual and the door contacts are grade 2 with the wire cut for the resistance to 2k2.
  4. I'm using the texecom PIR's with built in resistors, so, if I want those to show I need to program them as 4k2/2k2 at the keypad? correct?
  5. Hi Guys, I've bot been on here for a while and could do with some help again if anybody can provide it. I've just installed a Texecom Premier Elite and NOTHING is working the way I need it to. I've wired everything EOL. There are only 5 Zones on the system. I've been banging my head against the wall with this over the weekend and come to the forum for assistance. So, Everything is EOL, the door contacts x 3 and The PIR's x 2. I powered the system up and checked all the connections and the EOL resistors are set to 2k2. when I program the system as eol it is showing system faults and bringing up the call engineer status on the RKP. I have also tried programming the system as Normally Closed but this stops the system working at all. I only do one of these every 6 months or so as the company I work for specialises in CCTV so I haven't had to deal with this for a while and have probably forgotten something blindingly obvious. I've set the system up so that the last Zone on the system is the global tamper for the PIR's etc. Any help would be gratefully received.
  6. I was 'IN' the industry for 10 years but my main focus was CCTV systems, usually Adpro set up's, and Access Control (mainly BPT or FAAC traffic barrier systems). I only ever did very small alarm systems and used the Veritas range with no problems at all, thanks for asking though. I haven't had chance to go back to the site yet but thank you all for your help I will be changing the configuration to EOL on my next visit. (this is a secondary to a much larger project where I am installing the CCTV and Access Control for the site. As I say this is a secondary that i'm putting in as a courtesy for a very big client. Thank you all again and if I need any more help I'll be using this forum again.
  7. exactly my thought as well. It also doesn't help that there is no kind of wiring diagram apart from the eol and double pole terminations for the system. I knew it would be something extremely simple. Being out of the industry for so long doesn't help either. I'll be using the last two as a global tamper and hopefully that should cure it. Thanks again for your help.
  8. as I said, I spoke to texecom and they told me that this was how it should be wired, maybe something was lost in translation and it didnt look right to me. I've been out of the industry for 5 years and tbh. As soon as you mentioned the tamper being in a separate zone I knew that was the issue. Going to the site tomorrow and changing it out. Thanks for your help folks.
  9. Oh, and I just checked the keypad and the date/time has reset to factory default for some reason?
  10. ok, so i've gone right through everything with a fine toothcomb and I can't see a reason at all for this occurring. I've basically rewired the whole system. removed all the existiong connections, belled out and re installed them all. I'm using an 8 core cable and have it all connected in the PIR's as Green = 12v, white = 0v black and red = alarm, blue and yellow = tamper. the black red and blue yellow are connected to the Zone inputs and the same for the door contact as per usual wiring. I'm not using anything as EOL. The Com Wifi is reset and the software is talking too the panel but there is still an issue with Arming/Disarming the system. am I missing something so simple that I can't get the damned thing to work?
  11. This is he upgraded version which is now running the v.3 firmware. NC is supported on this version.
  12. I checked the view zone status last thing and they were all showing as secure. I'm not used to premier kit at the moment but I'm trying to get used to the gear as I've always used Texecom in the past. I'm using the ComWifi setup and all that side works fine so I'm convinced that it is a programming issue and not a physical issue with the Panel or anything. What are the UDL issues that could arise? As I said, I've been out of the game for a while and this is "hit the ground running" job!!!
