Good evening gents,
I've revisited my problem above from 3 years ago as I believe it's time to get this thing fixed or changed.
I found the original install manual from 1993 and in it is says
'Mode 1 reset, remove the link LK1 to access default codes, replace link before re-programming function'
I had the cover off and found LK1 link not fitted so as I understand I have access to default codes which is how it works at the moment.
I down powered and fitted the link on LK1, on application of either BAT or mains or both the lcd keypad showed EEPROM error, press any key, but with the link in the keypad was unresponsive.
Removing the link made the keypad respond to press any key and it powered up showing version number and then 'unset' with a reset time and date.
A little more reading of other manuals seems to suggest I need to leave the link out until a get to entering a new user code and then put it back in for the final yes press?
Anyone know the correct sequence of events I can use to get user codes in and whether the link on LK1 should always be fitted in normal operation and only removed to get default ENG and Master access?
Jez
