Maybe the panel / the comip has another IP address? I got the 192.168.1.66 from the modem /router which was assigned via DHCP and then I forced it to not change.
Is there a way I can check the IP address from the keypad?

I have a Premier 48 (not Elite) with the ComIP that has been running for a few years. I tried to connect to Wintex but got a connection problem so I started some troubleshooting.
1) In the router modem, I found that the ComIP was not being assigned an IP. Eventually restarting the panel solved the problem and now it has an ip address 192.168.1.66
2) If I ping 192.168.1.66 it seems fine
Pinging 192.168.1.66 with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 192.168.1.68: Destination host unreachable.Reply from 192.168.1.68: Destination host unreachable.Reply from 192.168.1.68: Destination host unreachable.Reply from 192.168.1.68: Destination host unreachable.Ping statistics for 192.168.1.66:Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),3) Checked panel fuses (did not replace them) & they look fine4) Everything was setup on Com Port 1 so I switched of Panel and moved this to Port 2, tried with baud rate 19200 and 384005) typing 192.168.1.66 in browser gives 'ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT'5) Checked the modem / router and I think I successfully allowed TCP/UDP on port 10001 (the modem changed a few months ago and I don't remember if I ever accessed the panel with the new modem)Port Range 10001 - 10001Translate To 10001 - 10001Trigger Port 10001Any help is appreciated. In the meantime I'm not sure if it's relevant but the Tx1 led on the panel is showing as red. I'm also attaching a photo of the panel (maybe it helps)... I have since moved back to port 1 as I was getting an error on the keypad after moving to port 2. Anything I'm missing? -
Apologies, I didn't read all of your post
Try setting a UDL password and using that, when I tried that, it does sort of work but usually results in crashing my ComIP module causing a com port fault
Ok... using the UDL password connects but it makes the Com-IP fault all the time. Pity there is no fix for such a useful tool.

TFTP isn't enabled by default in Windows 7, this should help
http://www.andrels.com/wp-en_US/index.php/2009/12/how-to-enable-telnet-and-tftp-client-on-windows-7/
I had done that but still did not work. Anyways, then I installed it through dos prompt was was quite simple. The problems is that the code is still not working as per above post. Any ideas?

I opted for DOS:
tftp -i xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx PUT Web1.cob WEB1
which worked. In fact I can now see the Menu on the side.
I enter the engineering password. When I click Online Keypad, I get the keypad indicating "Reading.......", then I get no "Access with System". Then I click something else such as System Zone Status or Event Log and I get a System Alerts on the keypad - Areas need reset and Com 1 Fault. Trid this a number of times and always get the same issue.
Do I need to enable something?

Zip7 here.
Works fine, no problems
What is it?
I installed 7-zip. Can open the downloaded zip file but I can only see CobLoad as 1 file inside the archive. Doubleclicking that file shows the .exe and .cob files.

winrar still confused, i tried a few ways, wont have.
Appreciate our efforts.
I tried with winzip and with windows 7 standard ... still nothing.
very strange. If you want I can share an ftp site where you can upload the files and I can zip them myself and share.

Rezipped and re uploaded
Invalid once again. Maybe the upload is creating a problem. Can I give you my email address?
-
Mine works fine, you MUST use internet explorer, NO other web browser
Software to upload and web pages attached
This file seems to be corrupted. Can you upload again please.
Thanks

Its an SDK with working examples, only got the online keypad just about working in the end and it tended to just crash the ComIP module 99% of the time anyway
Why doesn't texe publish the software and those who want more customisation can use the SDK? Is there a web server on the com-ip and how can ou access the server? Will I receive all these details?

as above, you need their java app for online rkp.
they have others but you need to know java to get em going
I sent an email to texecom. Let's see what they come up with.
So there is no standard web software? I have some java knowledge but not enough to write something myself.

I have the Com-Ip module attached to a premier 48. When I query the ip address from a web browser, I get a nice diagram and the following wording:
For web page examples please click here. For more information on web page applications, please contact your installation company or distributor. For information on all Texecom products please visit: www.texe.com.
I tried to look in the provided CD but there is nothing in there. Anything you can share or how do you suggest to go about? I tried to contact my supplier but did not receive any reply so far (been a few weeks).
Thanks
