  1. I think you may be referring to the 'NVM'?

Engineering information (including manuals) is only available to trade members of this site.

If you are not in the trade I would recommend you get a professional installer to service and reprogram your system fo you.

  2. It does sound as though your panel has reverted to factory settings when the power was off.

This will be due to faulty or disconnected backup battery.

I would recommend you get an engineer to reprogram it and check it all out for you, as programming information is not given out on the public forums.

Click on the 'installers' link at the top of the page to find someone near you.

  3. The prem 48s a lot better but the 24 does the job.

Weve fitted a few hundred and if there going to fail they do it on first power up otherwise they work and work well

texecom have even put little leds bewhind all the fuses that light up when a fuse blows ( cute ahh )

all in all good bits of kit..

and that s from a long term galaxy fan

The prem is the better pannel

    Sep 2nd, eh?

You must be very busy installing those premiers!

    Happy Birthday. anyway :)

  4. Ok, that's your remote keypad. you will have a main control panel somewhere in your house. look in your large cupboards/wardrobes, under the stairs, cellar/garage (maybe even loft), etc. for a large cream (same colour as sides of keypad) plastic box with 1 screw in the middle, right hand side....thats your control panel! Find the battery and replace with the same kind.

    :)

  5. Not forgetting the fact that the panel will be trying to charge the non existant battery and as such it could burn the pcb and possibly catching fire.

Get a professional in this time!!

forgive my ignorance, but I can't quite get my head round that one.

surely if the battery is not connected, no current will be drawn and there will be no more risk(possibly less?) of fire than if a battery was connected?

  6. We'll need more info from you. What make or model is your panel? Is it a big box with a keypad on it or a small keypad with a 'main' control panel elsewhere?

If it's the latter, and you have opened the panel, does it have space for a battery (you can't miss it, they're at least 4 or 5 inches long, usually)?

It sounds like it may not have one installed, which would definitely be the cause of your problem.
