Bizarre, also Eaton won’t talk to me as I’m not a company and just doing it diy.
Good to see that there are stll a few manufactures still keep information 'in house'

The strands along with the core of the yellow wire need to go correctly under the screw also, basic stuff needs a bit of practice.
It also looks as though you have nicked the yellow insulation.

lol, I was guessing it may have been one of the late great "arfurmo" systems traded as something eye from wickford or thereabouts.
But w/o the use of a ouija board we'll never know
Mr H. can I take from your last post that arfur is still around then? I quite miss him.

Well, I've been an alarm engineer for as long as I can remember and what has been suggested, especially the first answer is the way to go.
J, what do you think should be done then?
Please put me and hundreds of others right then.

MattS, your first picture is the control panel, what did you think it was?

I know one company in the South East who makes reeds that are used in the alarm trade

Potentially even a literal "bug" in the sensor.... depending on how well sealed it is....
Sensors have been sealed against your 'bugs' for years now, I would be very surprised if that's it . Not a problem these days.

I have always hated this keypad, it's the ugliest I've ever seen in my life.
Would not have one of these systems ever, ugh!

You just don't know what you are missing

re Secom and their red lamp, it's NOT a strobe, it operates when a 'confirmed' signal is sent to the ARC
-
A battery operated Acorn control panel made in Cornwall c.1972, from an OLD garden shed, still worked

It is an offence not to say who the driver of the vehicle was, surprised it did not go direct to your employers (or have I got this wrong and you are self-employed?

Id agree, I'm tried to push this a few years ago and it wad decided there was no demand. Id also pay say a tenner 15 quid per guide.
Totally agree, no demand, who decided that, a pen pusher?

Agreed. If something has a weakness i want to know, then there are 2 options
1 discuss the issue and get a resolution.
2 if 1 doesn't work change product
What weakness? What is RR used for and more important, what else has to be done to get the Reset from the ARC in the first place?

All very interesting I'm sure, but at least one (or is it two?) important piece of information is missing from all this. It's not been grasped yet.

high gain aerial im thinking, they have longer leads also if i remember correctly. play with the positioning, higher the better.
