I was just wondering if anyone can shed any light on the prox token system available on the premier series texecom products.

Their website is rather sketchy.

I'm interested in potential applications, technological background (are they rfid?) and any experiences with them.

Not to worry, found some info in another thread.

They have to be RFID I think.
