Veritas 8

Featured Replies

Hi there,

my name is Bruno and im Portuguese, sorry my english! :)

ive moved to a house with a Veritas 8 (1999 i think) with 8 movement sensors, 1 Zone for each. Before possessing, the house was restored and the wall painters cut all wiring attached to the walls, including the power supply, i think the alarm was inactive for about 3 years. I tried to contact the installer company ("Instalarme Ltd."), but i think that it no longer exists. So, after some research i found all documents to install the system and yesterday i re-wired it again and link it to power supply (ive charged the battery before) and accepted the Default User code, and seams to accept the Eng. code, but it refuses to enter the Programming menu  , because the panel sends me an error tone after pressing the Prog. button, but dont have a tamper fault.

The problem could be from a possible sensor problem? When linked to power, only 2 sensors detect movement...

How can i deactivate a specific zone? With a small wire in Z# to close the circuit?

Thanks in advance,

Bruno Palos
