this is the MOD ern world...

Recently tested by whom? If it was an alarm company i suggest you call them back to fix the problem as the strobe is not supposed to flash unless the alarm has activated

Omnicrom is not really a security system, it always reminds me of one of those dogs that wags its tail at the intruder. Yes the blue light should flash. My advice would be is get a proffesional company in to replace your system with something a little more reliable.
