August 11, 200520 yr comment_64244 My wife informed me that there had been a power cut earlier in the day,but only for a few minutes. The system was not set at the time, but the strobe light only started flashing. I was away so I was trying to clear it over the phone. However, although the key pad digits were illuminated, there was no day/power light on. The key pad appeared dead when any key pushed. The strobe continued to flash until presumeably the battery ran down in the bell box. Any ideas before I start investigating this weekend? August 12, 200520 yr comment_64254 Duff batteries are often highlighted by a power fail and a system which has been perfectly ok up to then will "lock up" on loss of mains due to the battery being unable to sustain a working voltage. 1.Check condition of battery and if it will hold a voltage of at least 12v. 2.Check your aux power supply from the panel (12.5-13.5 volts) Replace battery if duff Replace aux fuse if blown Carry out total down power of system when previous have been carried out then reboot to shake out the gremlins. Good luck! regards Paul(always willing to offer advise politely with no bad language) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/7067-citadel-xr2/#findComment-64254 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
