I moved house and did not get left a user manual for my house alarm. Can someone please help.

My alarm has the number 9448 on the front, a keypad on the right hand side of the control box. to the left of the keypad is a vertical row of LED's.

As an aside I am also having problems with setting my alarm, when I enter the code the siren inside the box goes off contantly.

It sounds like it's a Scantronic 9448 - go to the bottom of the home page and in amongst the links at the bottom is the ALARM MANUAL section. Go in there and select COOPER SECURITY - the panel is listed in there. You may like to have a look at the installation manual if you need to reset the panel to default .
