Hi Guys,

I am having trouble changing the zone 8 to a 24Hr fire zone on an Accenta 8. The engineering manual says to press PROG XXXX 5 8 3 (where XXXX is engineering code). However, there seems to be a step missing as 1. I don't reset out the correct number of times and 2. its not working...

Anyone know the right procedure please...

Thanks

Prog

Engineer Code.

press 6 - zone indicators 1to8 flash momentarilly, then show current flag status.

press 6

press reset 3 times.

Job Done.

41758[/snapback]

Thanks for that. However, I'm a little confused as to what this does, it doesn't seem to set anything or is it trying to do something to zone 6? also my manual say that a 6 after the engineer code is for doing things like omit prevent... which also doesn't seem to work either..

Or is what you have given me here just the opening sequence before I choose zone 8 and set it to 24Hr fire zone?

Thanks

From the sound of the info this looks like an accenta G3 ???

Nigel could you confirm this ??

The manual instructions you are using are for the G3 ?, the combination you mentioned earlier do ghange the zone to fire, it may be you have mismatched manual and panel.

My post refers to the older Accenta 8, it changes the setting of zone 8 to intruder and pulsed.

Give us some more info on the panel, even a picture?

Do yourself a favour and put your manual down until we all know what you have, that way we will only be fixing one fault and not more.

Colin.

Ok Guys it Looks like an 8SP 401 Accenta G3 with remote LED keypad. According to the manual I have and thats for an Accenta/Optima G3. it seems that all other codes work for setting up programes 1, 2 and 3. But you are probably right the manual may have been updated. The engineering manul shows a circuit board of the Optima G3 with a volume control. My circuit board doesn't have one of those and as mention above does not have the internal keypad, just the one Power LED.

If you need photo's or PCB codes etc let me know.

Thanks for all the responses so far
