Hello from Martin

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Just like to introduce myself. I'm not an installer, I'm a electrical wholesaler with a strong security bias. Maybe there is someone form the East Midlands on here that has heard of us, 'Alert Electrical'?

Anyway, I'm not on here to bore you with another sales pitch, I thought I may be able to contribute with a bit of product knowledge, although I notice that you have already got Mark from Texecom on giving manufacturers info.

Does anyone mind me using any of the product reviews? It always helps if we can add what a customer thinks of a product.

Nice forum, looks very well put together. :)

Martin is there any plans to update the site as the page loads and then a 30 second pause before you can scroll or click. Drives me mad.

Ps, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the rapid feedback, we constantly update the site but that is not on the list. I noticed myself that the left hand nav bar always loads slower than the rest of the page but as no one has mentioned it I thought it was only me that noticed it. Are you on broadband or still on dial up?

I'll ask our web developer if there is anything that can be done. It maybe that you have found a reason why alot of people bug out on the home page.

Told you I'd ask the question:

"We are beginning to build sites differently these days in line with W3C standards guidelines, and Accessibility standards. We could probably improve performance. The navigation is entirely javascript powered at the moment too, and I think we could probably do a better job on that."

Good on you ;)
