I think this alarm could be eight years old. It was last serviced in 1996 in the house I bought 3 years ago.

Problem : my alarm keeps setting off I can reset it by entering the security code and reset but it returns to tamper mode. Could this be the battery? and are these easy to fit by a novice, and how much do these batteries cost? Are there any other suggestions to my alarm setting off constantly.

Any help would be appreciated

Lee the chances are the panel has fried itself trying to charge the duff battery, best idea is to get an engineer in as that is a serious fire hazard.
