I hope someone can help me. I have moved into a my new house about a year ago and have been confused by my alarm from day 1.

I have a Veritas 8C control panel with no manuals of how to use it. The problem is that to set the alarm it seems that any number configuration for the code can be used to set it but only 1 code will work to reset it. (At least it id this way round). Does any one know if this is normal or has the system not been set up proper.

I also think its about time to change the pin since it wouldnt take a genius a great number of guesses to disarm it. So if anyone has a manual or could mail me the relevant sheets I would appreciate it.

Whats probably happening is you are typing in any series of numbers and pressing "Full", when actually all you need to do is press "Full" or "Part" and leave.

I know on the panel it says press in code then press FULL or PART, but pressing PART or FULL will just work.

To change your code key in your usercode press PROG, then 60 then new usercode then PROG.
